Before coming to Charlotte, he was the Tennis Director at The New Orleans Lawn Tennis Club. Upon arrival there, the tennis program was non-existent. After one year there, Bill developed a program with 5 teaching professionals, over 100 hours of lessons, weekly men’s nights, women’s mixers, monthly socials, and a complete Jr. Development program from grass roots all the way to Division One college players and touring pros, and ran a fully stocked pro shop with over $35,000 in inventory.

After seven years he moved to Charlotte, as Bill was offered the position of Tennis Director at Providence Country Club where he had a successful adult and junior program with 4 pros. After 2 years there, he was offered the Canadian Federation Cup Coach Job. Coaching a Fed Cup or Davis Cup Team had always been a goal of his, so after much deliberation with his wife Liz, and 2 children, Bill signed a 2 year contract.

After the Canadian Federation Cup coaching job he returned to Charlotte and he can be found on the courts teaching at Providence Plantation Swim and Racquet Club (PPRSC).Bill’s goal is to help players of all levels, from beginners to grand slam champions, reach their potential and develop foundations that will help them succeed on or off the court.
